Encountering God

Part of our Vision is to Encounter God. To help facilitate that, we are holding an Evening of Prayer every Wednesday night from 7:00-8:00 pm. Do you have mountains of loneliness, sickness, or fear; coping methods that just aren’t cutting it anymore. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to see those mountains move per Jesus’ words: “For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.” (Matthew 17:20)

Building Community

Movie Night – Friday, Sept. 8, we’ll be showing the movie, “Prince of Egypt,” an Oscar-winning cartoon from DreamWorks productions. The movie starts at 6:30, so show up around 6:00 and get your snacks and soft drinks ready for the evening; stake out your spot, and let’s enjoy a movie together as we build community together with some great entertainment.

Sunday, Sept. 17 – It’s Church in the Park. Join us as we join several other local churches to celebrate Jesus at Jensen’s Grove Amphitheater. Service starts at 10:30, and a potluck will follow. Please bring a dessert and a side dish for the potluck. This year our Pastor Paul will be delivering the message to answer the question: What do we do when God doesn’t come through like we think He should?

Sept. 23 and 24 – It’s the Will Graham LookUp Tour! Click the link for more information about this great opportunity to introduce people to a relationship with Jesus. There’s something for everyone, from a kids’ day to youth concerts to an evening with Will Graham. Don’t miss this great opportunity.

NERF Wars! – On Friday, Sept. 28, at 7:00pm, we’ll be coming together at the church for a Battle Royale. Kids going into 5th grade or higher are welcome to join us for this fun event around the church grounds. But it’s not just for the kids. Adults are welcome to join us for a fun time of shooting each other with foam darts and lobbing folded-up diapers (clean and empty) at each other as each team seeks to discover and capture the other’s flag. There’s no cost for this fun event, but each person is encouraged to bring their own nerf gun and nerf darts. Please no battery operated guns or nerf balls. If you don’t have a nerf gun, we’ll have plenty to go around.
