Encountering God

Part of our Vision is to Encounter God. To help facilitate that, we are holding an Evening of Prayer every Wednesday night from 6:30-7:30 pm. Do you have mountains of loneliness, sickness, or fear; coping methods that just aren’t cutting it anymore? Don’t miss out on this opportunity to see those mountains move per Jesus’ words: “For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.” (Matthew 17:20)

Building Community

May 3 – Movie Club: As Walt Mueller says, media is “both a map and a mirror” of our culture. Join us at 6:00pm at Pastor Paul and Shari’s as we watch a movie and discuss its cultural implications. What’s the underlying worldview? What is their view of God, or is there another god portrayed? What is this movie saying about the culture? How does the movie provide the viewer with a map of where our culture is going, and a mirror for what our culture values and says it truth? These are the types of things we’ll discuss the first Friday of every month this winter and spring.

April 28 – Children’s Sunday: The kids will be running the show for our Sunday morning gathering. Join us to not only hear what God is doing through the mouths of our kids, but also to enjoy a fun taco potluck afterwards. Whether you can bring some fixin’s or not, please don’t hesitate to join us for this fun time with the kids… and their parents, too.

Teenagers! Start planning now for our summer trip: June 22-25 we’ll be heading to central Idaho to go camping in the hills above Boise, and rafting on the Payette River with our ministry partners, Youth Dynamics, Idaho! It will be a blast. Please see Pastor Paul and Shari for more information, including cost, fund-raising opportunities, and other such information. Bring a friend and let’s discover more about the adventure of following Jesus together.

Quilt Raffle: To help raise money for our trip, the teens are selling raffle tickets for this beautiful quilt. The cost of the tickets is $5/ticket, or $20 for 5 tickets.
